Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Instrumentation & Control (I&C) to join our operations team. In this role, you will perform real-time troubleshooting, precision calibration, maintenance, and repair of field instruments and control systems during operational shifts to maximize plant reliability and prevent unit trips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shift Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve field device faults, loop instability, and control signal failures during real-time plant operations.

  • Precision Calibration: Execute independent calibrations on pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters using HART communicators and signal calibrators.

  • Control Valve Maintenance: Inspect, overhaul, and set up control valve positioners, I/P converters, and pneumatic/hydraulic actuators.

  • Systems Diagnostics: Monitor and perform basic diagnostic checks on Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

  • Safety & Compliance: Execute work under strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and environmental regulatory guidelines (including CEMS monitoring).

  • Emergency Response: Provide rapid response during forced outages or system trips to identify failure root causes and restore equipment to service.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on I&C maintenance/shift experience in thermal, combined-cycle, hydro, or heavy process power plants.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Independent field instrument calibration, loop testing, and fault isolation.

    • Proficiency reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and logic loop diagrams.

    • Working knowledge of DCS platforms (e.g., Emerson Ovation, ABB Ability, Siemens SPPA-T3000) and PLC architectures.

    • Experience with HART communicators, multimeters, and pressure/temperature test standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like SAP or Maximo.

  • LOTO Authorized Personnel certification.

  • Basic understanding of Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation (TSI) or Burner Management Systems (BMS).
